Job description Northeast Natural Energy, a growing natural gas exploration and production company, is seeking an experienced Marketing and Transportation Analyst for its Charleston, WV office.
Qualified candidate must possess exceptional analytical and communication skills; minimum two years natural gas marketing and transportation or related experience required; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and Microsoft Outlook; ability to prioritize tasks and meet related deadlines; ability to work individually or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
1.
Assist with the negotiation, management and marketing of company natural gas production including sale of production, purchase of third-party production, etc.
2.
Assist with management of gas transportation activities.
3.
Schedule, nominate and confirm natural gas transportation.
4.
Verify revenues, fees, and third-party compensation.
5.
Communicate with the accounting department to ensure correct recording, collection and payment of related expenses and deductions.
6.
Track allocated volumes and imbalances between the company and third party production.
7.
Monitor daily flows and mediate disputes between pipelines and marketing group regarding flows vs.
nominations.
8.
Maintain the company's hedge book including creating hedging schedules, executing new hedge positions, updating valuations, and confirming payments.
9.
Assist with financial modeling and ARIES analyses including developing reserve reports and financial analyses as required.

Qualifications:
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software and Adobe with advanced skills in Excel, Outlook and Adobe.
Experience in oil and gas transportation and marketing or financial analysis.
Other Requirements:
Ability to comprehend and communicate orally and through written communication, coordinate with others and manage time efficiently.
Aptitude for service orientation and deductive reasoning.
Hearing and eyesight ability within normal parameters, dexterity, flexibility, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Requires prolonged sitting at a desk using a computer and other office equipment.
