Senior Lead Designer

Description GAI Consultants, Inc.
is seeking a Senior Lead Designer Structural with the ability to develop complex, detailed bridge construction plans, for our growing West Virginia office but would also consider our Ohio offices.
The successful candidate would be someone who prepares detailed drawings and designs using CAD tools.
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing contract drawings for various bridge/project types.
Remote and/or hybrid work options (home or office) are also viable options and the successful candidate will be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Job Duties:
Design frameworks for a bridge project and creates detailed design documentation.
Work with an engineer to ensure drawings meet project design goals.
Performs work under minimal supervision.
Handle complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets for proposals and task work.
Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree Required ( Drafting or Design and Technical Production)Proficient in MicrostationFamiliarity with applicable design standards and specifications.
Knowledge of ORD and InRoads preferredAbility to build collaborative relationships.
Detail oriented.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Leadership skills.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
